WA’s Safe Transition Plan and full border opening on 03 March 2022
Yesterday, 18 February, Premier Mark McGowan announced that Western Australia would step forward on the WA’s Safe Transition Plan and full border opening at 12:01 am, Thursday, 03 March 2022.
The border opening will allow safe travel into WA from interstate and overseas with vaccination and testing requirements on arrival, pending the latest health advice.
Interstate Arrivals
- Complete G2G pass before entry into Western Australia.
- Triple dose vaccinated, if eligible.
- Take Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 12 hours of arrival and report if positive.
- Follow public health measures and use SafeWA or ServiceWA where required.
International Arrivals
- Subject to the Commonwealth Government’s biosecurity and border requirements with the removal of international arrivals cap.
- Complete G2G pass before entry into Western Australia.
- Take Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) within 12 hours of arrival and report if positive.
- Unvaccinated returning Australians to undergo 7 days hotel quarantine
- Follow public health measures and use SafeWA or ServiceWA where required.
The testing arrangements are temporary and will be in place for at least two weeks and then be subject to ongoing review. All arrivals will be provided with one Rapid Antigen Test to meet these temporary testing requirements upon arrival.
