SKILLED VISA HOLDERS (eg. 457 and 482 subclass visas)
▪️Can withdraw $10,000 from superannuation for this financial year
▪️Will be able to extend the visa for those stood down but not laid off
▪️Businesses can reduce working hours without breaching sponsorship obligations
▪️Time spent in Australia will be counted towards to permanent residency requirement prior to COVID-19 pandemic
▪️Encouraged to seek and/or relay family support, wages and savings – expected to support themselves as per the commitment that students had sufficient funds for the first 12 months on their visa application
▪️Can withdraw $10,000 from superannuation for this financial year provided have been in Australia for more than 12 months
NEW ZEALAND CITIZENS
▪️New Zealanders on SC 444 visas and who arrived after 2001 have access to the JobKeeper payment. Those who have lived in Australia for 10 years or more also have access to JobSeeker payments for six months.
