Medium-term Stream requirements
- Must nominate an occupation listed on the list of eligible short-term Skilled Migration Occupation Lists
- Must have at least 2 years relevant working experience in the nominated occupation or related field
- Must have a positive Skilled Assessment assessed by the relevant authority
- Must work only for your sponsor or associated entity, unless exemptions imply to your circumstances
- Must have at least a Competent English (eg. IELTS at least minimum 6 each bands)

- Must nominate an occupation listed on the list of eligible short-term Skilled Migration Occupation Lists
- Must have at least 2 years relevant working experience in the nominated occupation or related field
- Must work only for your sponsor or associated entity, unless exemptions imply to your circumstances
- Must have at least a Competent English (eg. IELTS at least minimum 6 each bands)
How much it will cost
The visa (government) fee starts from AUD1,455.
Stay duration
The applicant can stay up to two years or four years if the International Trade Obligation (ITO) applies.
Processing time
On average, the processing time takes 39 to 70 days depending on the circumstances of the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482) application.
Being Short-term stream holder
- Work in Australia for 2 years for your sponsor or for 4 years if an International Trade Obligation (ITO) applies
- Study but won’t receive assistance from the government
- Enjoy travelling to and from Australia while the visa is valid
Temporary Skill Shortage Visa - Subclass 482
Subsequent Entrant Stream
It allows a family member of a visa holders of Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (Subclass 457) or TSS visa to apply for a separate TTS visa and would like to join the primary Subclass 457 or TSS visa holder in Australia.
Subsequent Entrant Stream requirements
- Must be a partner or dependent of a Temporary Work (Skilled) visa (Subclass 457) or Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482) visa holder.
How much it will cost
The visa (government) fee starts from AUD1,455.
Stay duration
The applicant can stay in Australia until the visa is valid.
Processing time
The standard processing time is not available for this visa.
Being Subsequent Entrant Stream holder
- Work in Australia for 4 years
- Study but won’t receive assistance from the government
- Enjoy travelling to and from Australia while the visa is valid
