- Applicant must have a sponsor by a relative or a family member.

These are the some of the reasons why the processing time is taking longer than usual:
- The information in the application are not complete
- The supporting documents are not sufficient for the case officer to finalise the application and more document(s)/information are required
- The response time of the applicant for the requested information
- The information provided takes time on the verification process.
- The information from external agencies sometimes takes time. Example, those who are related to national security, health, and character requirements

The tourist who is granted a visa is allowed to:
- Visit family or friends
- Be a tourist, for a cruise, or for purposes other than business concerns or medical needs.
- Study or be on a training for up to 3 months

- Applicant must have enough money to stay in Australia.
- Applicant must demonstrate sufficient financial mean to stay in Australia

Subclass 600
It allows the applicant to visit Australia for business concerns.
Business Visitor Stream requirements
- Applicant must express her/his intention to stay in Australia for a visit only.
- Applicant must be outside Australia when applying for the visa and while the Department of Home Affairs finalizes the visa application.

Stay duration
The tourist can stay up to 3 months.
Processing time
On average, the processing time takes 15 to 25 days depending on the circumstances
