On average, the processing time takes 16 to 17 months. Circumstances varies depends on the action done in the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa application as follows:

The worker who is granted a visa is allowed to:
- Stay in Australia for five years from the date the visa is granted
- Live, work, and study in the designated region of Australia
- Enjoy traveling to and from Australia until the visa is valid
- Apply Medicare (Australia’s public healthcare scheme)
- May sponsor relatives to visit Australia
- May apply for Australian citizenship when requirements (eg. residency) are met
- Sponsor de facto partner or spouse to join in Australia permanently
- Sponsor dependent child up below 25 years of age to join in Australia permanently
- Sponsor close relative to migrate in Australia under General Skilled Migration (GSM) program
- Apply for permanent residency, if eligible, you can process it by Subclass 191 (Permanent Residence (Regional) visa that commences on 16 November 2022.

Stay duration
The applicant can stay until the visa of your family member is valid.
