- Must nominate an occupation listed on the Skilled Migration Occupation Lists
- Must have a positive Skilled Assessment assessed by the relevant authority
- Must have at least a Competent English (eg. IELTS at least minimum 6 each bands)
- Must meet the required pass mark for the points test
- Must meet the State or Territory Governments nomination requirements
- Must be nominated the State or Territory Governments or sponsored by an eligible relative
- Must be invited to apply under the SkillSelect

Being Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) – Subsequent Entrant visa holder
The worker who is granted a visa is allowed to:
- Stay in Australia for five years from the date the visa is granted
- Live, work, and study in the designated region of Australia
- Enjoy traveling to and from Australia until the visa is valid
- Apply Medicare (Australia’s public healthcare scheme)
- May sponsor relatives to visit Australia
- May apply for Australian citizenship when requirements (eg. residency) are met
- Sponsor de facto partner or spouse to join in Australia permanently
- Sponsor dependent child up below 25 years of age to join in Australia permanently
- Sponsor close relative to migrate in Australia under General Skilled Migration (GSM) program
- Apply for permanent residency, if eligible, you can process it by Subclass 191 (Permanent Residence (Regional) visa that commences on 16 November 2022.
