Last 22 November, Prime Minister Scott Morrison has announced that more than 200,000 fully vaccinated international students, skilled workers, provisional family, working holiday makers and humanitarian visa holders are eligible to enter Australia.
This amendment completes the implementation of concessions for certain visa holders from Hong Kong that were jointly announced by the Prime Minister
Schedule 1 – Allow applications for certain skilled visas by persons in Australia under Section 48.
Schedule 2 – Payment of Citizenship fees in foreign currencies.
Prime of Western Australia, Mark McGowan, announced last 05 November 2021 the Western Australia’s Safe Transition plan for safe border controls with other states and international arrivals.
The plan will take effect when Western Australia (WA) reaches a 90% double dose vaccination rate for people aged 12 and over. This forecast is to take place in late January or early February.
Singaporean citizens who are considered fully vaccinated will be able to travel to Australia without seeking a travel exemption and quarantine-free to participating states or territories starting 21 November 2021.
Changes were introduced in late 2020 or early 2021 to support Prospective Marriage (Subclass 300) visa holders, former visa holders and visa applicants unable to enter Australia due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.
